I don't know why it took me so long to pick up my first DSLR camera, but when I did, it all just clicked for me (pun intended). Terrific shot. The sky is just amazing. Dark at the top, white in the lower part thus helping to focus the attention firmly on the lion. The foreground is also uniform and nondistracting, and the cloud formation is great. Everything seems perfect. A once in a lifetime shot.

Stark and perfect! The chaotic strato-cirrus clouds look like brush-strokes and are the perfect background for the lonely silhouette. Your technique enables us to feel the vastness of the landscape while focusing on such a small portion of it. Your website is wonderful–your emotional attachment to your country shows thru in your work.

Aurag, I think you need to focus just a little more :p

Great title, look forward to more from you.

19th January 2010 at 4:37 am

thank you reza, Christy & Sparts.

the sky was really shot as is. nothing changed in processing except convert to B&W and increase black on the foreground to produce the silhouette.
