A great, dramatic picture; I don’t understand the name though.

Very nice, though like Pauline, I don’t understand the name, unless you meant it to be “Reverie” which would appear to suit the subject matter.

Great moody shot and yes a small hiccup lies with the name.

Thank you for drawing attention to the title. Earthshots has changed it to “Reverie” on behalf of Colin.

One feels as if you are in the picture, looking out and up with the young person. Nice use of fogging the edges and great tonal range.

Great image in black and white.
Monochrome always gives a great mood

Looking out on a new world was my first impression. A terrific black and white image. One can easily come up with a thousand or more words for this picture.

Colin, there is a lot of “mood” in this shot. The vastness of rock and the overhang of clouds is quite daunting. Very hard terraine, wouldn’t want to venture out in it. A desert of labor. I know from walking on the beach at times right after a storm. There are tremendous rocks to try to get over, and the threat of a storm brewing, usually with wind, makes for a very stressful situation. Kind of like our lives, treking out over the all challanges (being rocks) then to be met with huge mountains….looks like it could have been a giant riverbed. Good shot, good make for several stories. Thanks for sharing.

Great picture open to many interpretations, lonely, calming, hopeless, craving, loving …

The heavy sky and the reflective pose of the girl go very well together in creating the mood of the shot.
