December 13th, 2009 at 9:23 amI notice that certain berries hang on the trees until different parts of the winter; the hawthorn berries always go last. It’s like God always has something in the larder for the wildlife to eat during the cold months.

Some wild fruits (grapes here in the north) are really only palatable by humans after they freeze–too puckery before that! -
