Awakening

by Madeleine Calaido Weber

The whole valley was covered in fog. It is said, that Tolkien spent many holidays in County Kerry, Ireland - I think it inspired him alot for his saga "Lord of the Ring". There are many moments full with magic - like this one. 1/200s, F13
Equipment: canon 1Ds Mark III / canon EF 75-300mm

I am fascinated and deeply touched by nature. Nature is my best friend and my home. I dedicate my life to the beauty, harmony and peace of it. I am an observer of the ever-changing relationships between light, shapes and movements… those endless circles of enfolding and overlapping.

I really like the timing regarding the placement of the speeding boat and the relatively small building.

Absolutely fantastic!

I’d have liked it even more if it wasn’t for the boat at the right.. I think it takes some magic away.

Lovely! I especially like the small building and the boat, which provide a great point of reference for movement and size. I also love nature and feel in touch with my soul when I am in the presence of our Earth’s beauty.

Dear Madeleine, The grandeur of this photo is so impressive. That little strip of green with the lighthouse really grounds the whole scene. It creates the spectrum of the immensity of all else. We are so minute in the cosmic scheme of things…I can imagine you were captivated and awestruck as you filmed this. Wonderful shot! Thank you for sharing.
