Smugglers Notch

This is an image from Smugglers Notch which is in Northern Vermont and is a great place for taking images - so much to shoot there. The colors also were incredible there. This image was taken on the way up to Smugglers Notch - I liked how the cloud bank was coming down on the mountainside but the path was still bright with color!

Excellent shot Kevin! I grew up in that area of Vermont, and have ridden that stretch of road many times. Fall was always my favorite season…I live in California now, and don’t get the same seasonal changes, and I miss seeing scenes like this…

what a strange visual sensation. It feels like an optical illusion. So odd to have the “foreground” more distant than the “mid ground” Makes your feel lkke something is being turned inside out.
