Photographers Dream

by Bill McFall

The June Lake Loop near the little town of Lee Vining in the eastern Sierra Nevada in California has a reputation for being one of the best places for fall color. This photo was taken a short distance from the roadside, but it feels much more remote. One becomes drawn in to the incredible display of color and light playing off the aspen trees.
Equipment: Nikon D50

I've been shooting nature photography for around 25 years and still get a rush when searching for a beautiful landscape. I enjoy sharing my love of nature with other people. My focus is in landscape photography but will venture into other areas as they present themselves to me. I welcome any comments, good or bad about my work.

Bill, this is like flames shooting upward. I love the amber colors. The blue sky makes the gold “Pop”! Very beautiful perspective. We need to look up more!

It does really feel like a remote area away from the rest of mankind. Looking up and having this view is such a wonderful feeling. Great colors

Makes me a bit homesick for the Eastern Sierras. I love the area around Lee Vining.

It’s indeed very dreamy. I feel as though I am lying down amongst those autumn colored trees and facing towards the sky with soothing breeze and filtered sunlight warming my body.
