Awesome photo!!!!
Beautiful winter scene. No snow yet here in New York.
Where is Blackwater Falls? THis is gorgeous!!!!!!!
Great monochromatic shot. I would have preferred a bit more contrast on the falls (PP). Just a personal liking.
What a lovely winter shot, would make a great christmas card.
This is a lovely picture; to me the colors are just right.
Like it but all the whites in the image give no space for a main subject.
A beautiful picture, a beautiful falls.
Brrrrrrr………I’m just not ready for this yet. It’s a beautiful shot, but it only serves to remind me of the snow in our forecast for Friday. Beautiful shot of a lovely place……..where? Most of us seem to want more info–what, where, when, etc. I especially like the contrast between the frozen icicles and the flowing water.
This waterfall is Blackwater Falls located in Blackwater Falls State Park, West Virginia. I shot this from the observation deck above the canyon with a 80-200mm, full frame and CPL.
Thanks for all your kind comments so far!
Beautiful landscape, really you are transmitting the weather so cold!!!
Such a beautiful shot! Looks very cold! thanks for sharing!
Postcard look, very nice.
One word comes to mind “WOW”
Thanks for the details, Joseph. This looks similar to Tahquamenon Falls in Michigan’s UP. Tahquamenon is Coca Cola colored due to tannins from the forest, but in a similar setting. You need to visit if you haven’t already done so!
I am very familiar with this area. I grew up in west virginia. Black water falls is the place I spent my first honeymoon. It is beautiful. You took a lovely picture. thanks
Joseph, this is such an intriguing photo. It looks incredibly cold and reminds me of scenes here in Oregon. I especially like the focus of the water, it looks so icy. You have a good eye and great willingness to endure some chilly temps. Thanks for the beauty you captured. Keep up the great work.
Very nice shot and exposed especially when everything is white
very nice works, thanks
