My sister and I spent part of our afternoon walking through amber October light just like this! The beeches and oaks provide the rusty and cinnamon browns, while the maples provide the perfect touch of gold. I usually like photos sans humans, but in this case, they seem to enjoy watching Mother Earth tuck herself into her autumn crazy quilt in preparation for a well-deserved autumn rest. Very impressionistic effect–lovely potd!

Makes me homesick for autumn in the midwestern United States… well, except that cold comes along with those gorgeous colors. Come to think of it, I’ll just enjoy Autumn vicariously through gorgeous pictures like these, and keep my warm Southern California weather! Congrats on your POTD! Beautiful!
