Eye of the Sand

by Thomas Vignaud

Some fish, like this Lesser weever (Echiichthys vipera), are incredibly good at hiding, and only need a few seconds to get like this. And, be sure they still see you : )

AMAZING! I am intrigued by unusual nature shots. This guy must be tiny based on my knowledge of ocean sand……..size, location, depth…inquiring minds want to know. Wonderful potd–it made me chuckle.

Hi, and thanks :)
This was in Marseille, Mediterranean sea. Around -17m deep. The size of the fish is around 10 cm.
Anurag, I guess it is, but it “could” as well be the reflexion of my flat port, like it happens sometimes.
