Why do SO many of the photos on this website look overprocessed?? I think it takes away from the actual subject.

Very colorful and well balanced composition. I like all those criscrossing diagonal lines, actual and implied.
Digital processing is today’s paradigm and “Look”. Though yes this image is a bit heavy on saturation but the end result looks apealing.

  5. Pauline Jones Pauline Jones Says:

    Amazing Waterwings and Waterflow Photo.

  9. planet lover Says:

Lovely pic. If this is a tropical, humid location, the colors are most likely very close to those in nature, “oversaturated” in every sense of the word.

Water, water everywhere, and even flowers and lots of color!! Is this an HDR shot? Looks like a beautiful place.

Thanks for the positive feedback and good comments. It was taken at Forillon National Park, Gaspe Peninsula, Quebec, Canada, by the Cap-Bon-Ami beach. Taken at twilight, with 2 ND filters and a Nikon polarizer, with slow shutter speed. Picutre settings full vivid. For post processing, added sharpening and a bit of vibrance.

  13. Ellen Empson Ellen Empson Says:

    Great shot–!!
I have used the Nikon Vivid setting on my own Nikon and find I really do not care for it in landscapes or images like this but it’s all personal preference and what you think makes your image.
    Congrats on POTD!
