A Long Way

by Marta Diaz

A lady bird walking on palm leaf, slowly and carefully. This insect is common in the Argentine pampas.

I'm an amateur photographer living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The joys for me (outside my librarian profession) is travelling and capturing moments of life. I like landscape, portraiture, nature. Also I prefer shots which contain people.

Close to the goal with lady-bird Luck. For me it seems like a painting. Interesting colour combination.

A great study in diagonals and color. A bit loud on saturation and contrast. Overall a nice effect.

Beautiful!
At a first glimpse it looked like a landscape with fields.

Good composition indeed and the red ladybird makes a whole great effect.

ladybirds must be common the world over; I see plenty in my Irish garden.

Not natural enough, but a beautiful subject.

Interesting use of lines. Yes, we have lots of ladybug in Canada as well.

Agreed with Mara, like fields with the ladybug being the combine or tractor…composition is perfect. Good visual impact, gets and hold your attention.

Nice false perspective!

Very, very nice photo. I like the straight lines and shades of green of the palm leaf and, of course, the lady bug. I see lots of them in Maryland, both red and yellow.

I see nothing spectacular about this photo. It’s a nice idea, though I feel as if I have seen it before sans ladybug. The contrast and saturation cause the ladybug to look added in as an afterthought. Colors are nice though.

Looks like this Lady’s staying on the ‘straight & narrow’!

I wonder what the ladybug did when she reached the cross leaf. Did she stay on the “straight & narrow” or get side-tracked?

I think there’s a lesson for us humans: Do we allow obstacles to get us off-track or stay focused on the ultimate, eternal goal?
