Shark Breach
by Neil Wilkinson
I had my camera pressed to my face for over 3 hours while watching a rubber decoy in the shape of a seal being towed behind a boat waiting for a shark to rise from the cold murky waters, when suddenly without warning an explosion of raw power thrust itself out of the water and clasped its jaws firmly around the decoy and then disappearing back into its home,it was over in a split second but it will last in my memory forever. Awesome!!!

WOW! Did you photo-shop out the tow rope? The power of the shark is amazing–as if he’s standing on the water. The ocean spray is like a halo. Definitely a rare moment captured for all of us to see. Thanks!

Amazing image – rather frightening for a swimmer. At least in Aus the White Sharks don’t breach.
