Colours of Nature

by Kani Polat

The region of Cappadocia is one of the nature's gifts to Turkey. Wind, water and sand carved rocks form a surreal panorama kilometers long. That was not very easy to get the clouds, balloons and the sun together for many days, but in the end, one day in the morning, the weather was calm enough for the balloons to fly and the clouds were waiting for the first lights of the sun. I was very lucky to be there to capture that moment of collaboration of nature and colourful balloons.

Amazing Photo! The composition is not all that simple, there is alot going on in this photo. I would have loved to have been in one of those balloons. Great Shot, very fun yet with a very natural back drop.

I thought this was a absolutely beautiful sight.

Here in my town, Sandy,Utah, we are having an a.m. and p.m. balloon festive on the 7th and 8th
of august. I hope to attend.

I can only hope that my camera will live up to your pics.
Thanks for the beauty.

I love the brilliant colors contrasted against the sandy rocks and the cloudy sky with just a little sun breaking through. You almost feel you’re there watching the balloons as far as the eye can see. Keep up the good work.

That is an amazing photograph taken in such a stunning area. I was in Cappadocia in 1987 and in those days there were very few tourists and certainly no balloons. I would love to return one day.

The sun on the tips of the rocks & that wonderful sky blend beautifully with the colorful balloons. Good work, Kani !

The colors of the balloons reflected in the rocks makes a really good composition; well done.

What a beautiful place! I’ve seen many pictures of fantastic places in Turkey in my days but never one of Cappadocia. Thanks for this beautiful picture. My sister traveled in Turkey years ago and was impressed by the kindness and openness of its people. I hope things haven’t changed much in that regard.

I am the only one perhaps who feels this photo has great movement. The coulds feel as if they are coming at you, yet the balloons are drifting away… the ground anchors it all. What a great photo to view… (also love the little “caves”… also adding a new dimention to what one knows and does not know about the rest of this planet)
