Straumur Revisited

Last week had the most amazing sunset yet this summer (at least what I have seen). After shooting lava and the sunset for an hour and a half, I couldn´t resist stopping by my favorite location on the way home: Straumur art center. I have shot at this locaiton at least 20 times before but it will allways offers new possibilities every time I am there. The tides where pretty low this time so it revealed a small but nice top of basalt columns that I had not seen before. This place is just 5 mins drive from my home so I stop there often when time is limited for further away locations.

Even before I could see the title or your name, I recognized Iceland! Your photos are unique. This building is lovely in any season. Wonderful sunset–much like the one we had here in Michigan yesterday. We are linked by nature, aren’t we?
