from the light direction seems the shot is from below but no stringers on jellyfish ? but great photo.

Awesome angle and dramatic framing with that seaweed. Did you take this while diving? If so which dive site?

Hey this is Earthshots, not Jupiter shots. Really really out of this world. (What a priviledged planet we are.)
kaybee
spectacular.

Amazing shot. Underwater shots really fascinate me for the richness of the color they exhibit. Great Composition (cris-crossing diagonals).

Love the colour and angle and certainly different from other earth shots.

Great image! It took me a while to understand what it was. It almost looks like an ectoplasm in a surreal wood. Fantastic (it’s really the case to say) picture. Congratulations.

Great photo, nice position. It looks like Monterey Bay Aquarium. Is the picture taken there, in some other aquarium or while diving. Anyhow, picture worth the title of Photo of the Day.

Wonderful photo! The jellyfish exhibit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium is a must-see for anyone in the area. A darkened hall with illuminated glass aquariums full of fantastic creatures–another world. The horse-shoe shaped organs (4 in all) have something to do with reproduction, but I haven’t finished researching yet………. I have only seen dead ‘moons’ on the beach at Monterey and near Morro Bay, but they fascinate me. Thanks for a view I will never see in person. Perfect color, light, and composition for a memorable potd!

Beautiful shot. I love the “other-worldly” quality. Thanks for sharing it.
