Moon Beam

On this day, 40 years ago, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first people to walk on the moon. To mark this anniversary we have submitted one of our favourite moon images.
This is an experimental photograph that we took last year. It is a 15 minute long exposure of the moon rising. The resulting image looks like a beam of light coming from an alien spacecraft!

Out of curiosity is this film (or slide/chrome). I am under the impression that digital can’t hold up to these kind of extended exposures. Am I wrong?
