Love that shot. Congratulations. You get the sun, the Heron and the water all in one magnificant photograph.

Beautiful surreal colors.

Lovely colors and subject, but I find it very disorienting. Were you in a boat? Why the angle? (I know–I’m the one who said nature has few truly level horizons) But it is hard to capture all the shades of twilight, so I am still totally impressed with the image–just bought some stone beads that are these colors because they look like trees silhouetted against the evening sky, so your photo will add more inspiration for my jewelry. Thanks!

Wow, great composition and a rare perspective. Congrats on your POTD!

Fantastic, I just love the colours (and the quirky angle) congrats

Lovely colors, and somehow the tilted horizon seems to work, probably because the beak points in the other direction.

Nicely composed

An image that definitely deserves praise. The black stripe in the sky is what makes everything click together. Also the angle gives a more artistic touch.
Deepak
Wonderful capture…!!
Pauline Jones
Beautiful image but if you download Picasa free from Google you can use their straightening tool to fix the horizon.

Interestening angle, very nice catch with the sun and bird and water lines.

Great capture! Lots of detail on the heron despite the dark color; the sky and water blend perfectly and the sun (moon?), slightly distorted, aligns with the bird at a very nice angle.
Miriam
Beautiful silhouette, well done.

Lovely peaceful nature shot with subtle harmonious colours. Good use of artistic license leaving a slanted horizon, it works well. This image would have worked a lot better though had the main subject not been too centralised and had been within the rule of thirds.

I think the tilted background gives the heron a more powerful image, love it !
