Two thumbs up. The combo of the wasp and spider is striking in itself, but their positioning on the bloom (along whith the color) make this shot like a 3-D logo, or a sculpted icon.

After yesterday’s image demonstrating the hardware of camouflage, we now have a shot depicting it in full action!! Great shot Thomas.

What a wonderful shot, all that pollen on the wasps legs shows what a struggle he put up, and the victor and victim so central, almost looks like you placed them there. Many congrats.

My first thought–LUNCH! Everybody’s gotta eat somebody, though I prefer to call it getting recycled. I admire anyone who really notices the miniscule life and death struggles around them. Too many people miss the beauty and drama–thanks for sharing this moment.

I agree with Katherine Lee.
What an outstanding photogaphic capture.

The composition of the image is just about perfect. The color of the spider is amazing. I have seen spiders catching their dinner before and their body language has been that of joy, after all they have probably waited much longer for their lunch than we do and most of us are meat eaters too.
