The Gift

The spectacular sunset on my Birthday at 15,000 feet in the Everest region of Nepal. This is probably my favorite image from this trip.

Very nice ground shot. It gives a sensation of big but at the same time of simplicity. great shutter control and the well lit peeks are just wonderful.

I love the shot, but unlike other critics I
find the movement of the water up front
distracting. Personal choice I guess.

What masterful control of the image. I suspect the exposure has had some kind of help, be it a dodge and burn or blend of multiple images, but the combination of highlight and shadow is superb.
