Like an ethereal painting…

This gives the effect of a sketched illustration from a 19th century novel. Your attention to exposure and lighting really heighten the surreal effect. Very unusual and very effective!

Awesome pic but it looks edited with photoshop or other program, its only a poor coment!

The Gerry Pacher Look!
A great admirer of your work and ideas.

Agree completely that it looks like a charcoal sketch, super black and white shot with a twist.

Very artistic, not easy to get right in monochrome but you achieved it. this looks like somewhere in Brittany.

Very nice B/W image, like a painting.

The silvery tones remind me of the those old Black and White Sci-fi films. Feels real 1920′s.

Many thanks for your feedback. Yes, I love to work in B&W and I would like to confirm that this scene is NOT manipulated or let’s put it that way “CS4 optimized”. Everything is “real” …. including the light at the lighthouse. All what I did is the B&W conversion in Lightroom.
Take care.

This looks like a painting, or works of clay the rocks look chunky and somehow not real….and the mist on the water so delicate….. Amazing, good job!
