Patience
by Payton Ruddock
I turned in the Reptile House and saw this beautiful guy perched in a perfect figure 8 "strike" position with an amazing overhead lighting. It was too perfect to pass up.

A beautiful portrait study. What a lucky strike you got.

He’s beautiful! That little beady eye looks so sleepy, but I’m sure he’s using all his senses to the max. I like the play of color and texture. You sound like a person who will go far–never lose your enthusiasm–life is so much fun if you just let it entertain you.

This looks like a palm viper, but may be wrong, a real poisonous little fella. Wonderful colour and texture captured here. congrats.

Biomedical engineering… fascinating! Thanks for sharing your snake photo. I wonder if the “8″ strike position is only when hanging from branches?

Certainly too perfect to have been captured in the wild
A great shot.

Yikes! I’m not into snakes or spiders, never the less, I like to look at them…..and you took an amazing shot. Keep up the good work.

Well it is either a Costa Rician or Indian green viper. Most of the others have blues, yellows etc speckling their skin. Great Color on the shot. Patientence pays off
