Fantasy

by David Lazar

A fantasy landscape scene from Petra, Jordan. This place has to be seen! This is the monastary, carved into the side of a rockface. To get here, you must do a long hike up the rocky mountain - but once at the top, you are rewarded with views of the valley, and this structure.
Equipment: Nikon D70s

I'm a photographer from Brisbane, Australia - and one of the joys for me (outside my musical profession) is travelling and capturing moments of life and beauty through photography. My favourite styles of photography: Portraiture and landscape. Also, in general, I prefer shots which contain an element of 'cannot be captured exactly again'; that is expressive people shots, action shots and any scenario with a unique aspect to it.

“Fantasy” is the perfect title for this surreal photo. It looks like an illistration for the cover of a fantasy novel. Incredible detail nicely captured!

Very fresh look to an oft photographed subject.

One should also visit The Ellora Caves and The Ajanta Caves in India. They are arguably, one of the best Rock Cut temples in the world.

Very nice place, wonderful shot indeed. I guess this was layered due to the suns position.

Fantastic indeed! Great view of the surrounding area as well. The Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá, Colombia, is also a beauty built in an abandoned salt mine.
