Good, dramatic image. Well done.

I really like this, the fact that its so hard to tell if its a natural photo or a ‘photoshop’ image makes it more interesting, the sun is in front of the statue but yet the front is in shadow, really nice image either way.

What in the world is going on here? Is this some kind of back mounted hang-glider? Just curious, and want more details.

The Angel of the North is an impressive sculpture. I have no reason to go that way these days, so will probably never see it for real. I like this take on it though. At least it is different from the countless shots that have already been taken of it.

Thanks for nice comments, I know the Angel is photographed so many times so when I do photo her I ahave tried different angles…

For Kirk and anyone who is curious, The Angel of the North is a huge steel structure in the North of England, it is 20m tall and 54m across the wings. It is therefore wider than the statue of Liberty is tall.It has to be able to withstand 100mph winds. An impressive sight.

This is a nice picture, especially for a beginner, well done.

You have put the wide angle to good use, though as a variation maybe you could have tried for a tighter crop to exclude the bushes on the left which seem to distract a bit.

Thank you ‘su’ and ‘KeithT’, absent your comments, I was completely lost with this photograph. Makes the shot infinitely more interesting for me. ;)
