In the middle of the day, once enough dust has been kicked up, shafts of light penetrate the slot canyons outside page, creating a striking visual against the brilliant red and purple sandstone.

Beautiful shot of the perfect cathedral. This is magical–lighting, color, composition–it all shows the beauty and spirit in all of nature. Fantastic potd!

Thank you for the kind words. To answer Pauline, the shot is of Upper Antelope Canyon outside Page, AZ. I think the fact that it is on Navajo land adds a little to the mystique.
