Just Beautiful. A real sense of depth and presence. Nice mood.

So were you there to spend the night? This doesn’t look like a place you can just get up and get back in the car, or walk back down the trail. Were you skiing?

Great composition Kevin. I really like the ?mist flowing down over the snow.
The same curiosity as Kirk’s crops in my mind too! :-)

Base camp somewhere along the climb? Beautiful pictures can be enhanced with the story behind them; and there’s always a story, big or small.

Wonderful shot on a difficult landscape! Would be curious to find out your camera settings, and the wind must have been blowing pretty good if you weren’t using a tripod! A lovley scene

WONDERFULLY DONE! Makes me want to be there!!!!!

A Beautiful shot! I love the matching sky & land colors with the touch of blue.

Thanks for the comments! It looks like they took my description out. This was shot near sunset in Paradise Meadows. Probably about 1/2 mile from the lodge (snowshoeing). I did shoot it on a tripod and the wind was really howling! Thank goodness, no, I did not have to spend the night up there!

Kevin, We are so lucky to live in the beautiful Northwest. Mt. Rainier is a vision out my front door every day. To see the beauty in your photo is wonderful. Thank you for your talents.

very nice colors and cropping. not a “very common” landscape as was commented by Alex.

Now this is a wonderful view especially with that difficult situation having direct sunlight but an unlit area. Nice balanced lighting

I like the sun behind the tree, reflecting on the slope.

For those of us who live in “common” places of the world, this photo and other Earthshots are definitely “uncommon!” Of course, God has created beauty in all places.

That’s just dying to be carved up by my snowboard! Great shot
