The kind of road one wishes to walk in one’s dreams. If this is un-digitized lighting & focus it’s all the more stunning. In any case, thanks for sharing it!

Stunning. Great composition with the road leading into the unknown. Love the fog in the background, adds a mood to the winter image. Excellent job and congratulations.

Lovely photo. This could have been taken here in mid-Michigan a few days ago. It’s a foggy, winding, mysterious road from winter to spring, and you’ve captured the real spirit of it.

I had an immediate gut response to this one–joy and yearning intermingled. Just beautiful and so evocative! Thank You.

Good color scheme though for me the dodging of the snow next to the road is slightly overdone. It does convey a nice misty / dreamy look.

whoo boy, love the contrast and punchiness of this one!

A beautiful shot, and the road leads you right into the foggy morning with the blue sky!! Lovely.

Lovely pic! Beautiful composition! As an amateur can you answer me a few questions? Did you use a polarizer? What time of day was this shot?

Thanks

Beautiful image, technically perfect but it gives off atmosphere – not an easy thing to do!

Now this is a greatly composed shot very nice indeed. Although it looks foggy the image is still clear and with the back light of the sun. The lighting is balanced in every corner. Really nice.

The long and winding road, lovely moody shot, makes me want to put on wellies and join you up there.

Whilst this photo is very beautiful I felt an immediate strong emotional reaction to it- the road being so immediately in front of the viewer with no other route possible confronts and demands the viewer to get a move on and start moving forwards down this road- on and around the corner into the unknown….that is what makes this photo special- most photographers would have edited the image to cut off the bottom third of the picture turning it into a scene like so many others. It’s the leaving on of the ‘in your face’ road and the immediate travel that’s demanded by the photo that makes it extraordinary. Hope that doesn’t read as too airy fairy- but it’s my response for what its worth!

After seeing so many mountain shots on here I dispared of ever seeing something different. This shot caught my eye for more than a fleeting glance and is perfect from my point of view. if I had taken it I’d certainly put it on my wall because as has already been said – it is something that bit special.

I can hear my footsteps… see my breath, and feel the chill drift down into my collar.
Goal accomplished for I am there.
