Very interesting story to go with the capture of this most excellent image. Determination is in your soul, a true photographers attribute. The blue hue makes this a very moody shot. Well done and congratulations!!
Iceland is rapidly becoming my favorite place, though my chances of going there personally are nil.
I truly admire your ability to ’see’ a great photo in your mind’s eye, and your craziness that helps you make the photo real for the rest of us! Remarkable color and other-worldly quality ….
I can almost feel the rocks, I can feel my feet sliding on their surface. Lovely steely blue tones, the sky, the water, the rocks reflect each other, the soft flash of pink in the distance. The picture is so clear I get a sense of softness all around – except for that one craggy rock face in the left corner. Just to keep us on our toes. Thank you Overartli. Iceland is fast becoming my favourite place too. So many great artists – it must be the cold!
Worth all the effort, without a doubt.
This image proves that there are no free lunches. If you want to achieve something, youv’e got to work hard for it.
Compliments for a splendid image.

Like the dragon scale shrouded in the morning fog
What a great capture and story to go with it, truly dedicated to your art. congrats
It makes me want to touch those rocks – put my hand on one. They look so cool and blue and moist. Also, the entire scene with all the hues of blue and the angle of the camera, just gives a magical otherworldly feel to the photo. Congratulations!!
Nice composition…and some great color too.
Excellent photo! Ditto on everything that was said before. I visited Iceland in winter a couple of years ago and found spectacular and eerie views everywhere.
Looking at this image makes my imagination think I could be sitting atop a very old sea turtle the way the shapes of the rock are……
intriging shot.
You surely take your work seriously & this shot is proof of your expertise,Wonderful! Thank you.
I see a huge reptile turning back into the sea.
This is the same effect as the Giant’s Causeway with slightly different cooling conditions.
Lucky lava levee let you leave, thank goodness.
