This is a great portrait of a Great Blue Heron being a heron. It must have been chilly, as he is holding one leg up against his body. Full breeding plumage shows all the field identification marks for birders–wonderful potd! Congrats and thanks.

What a great nature shot. He definately has his eye on something. Reminds me of that look in a cat just before pouncing. Congratulations on a great photo of the day!!

nice capture and definitely clear shot. I would have cropped the top most part maybe there is too much water around.

A beautiful bird in a good composition. Nice colors! Like Malta i would have cropped the top of the photo and added some light .

Nice! I like that the bird is “centered” more or less on the vertical plane; if anything, I would crop the grass a bit; but what do I know, I’m not a photographer, just a nature lover.
