Since retiring I have taken up nature photography. My main interest is birds but I do like to photograph flowers, animals and insects with an occasional landscape. My four year old granddaughter also gets a fair bit of photographic and other attention.

Great angle for the shot. Probably you were lying on your stomach for the shot. Fantastic reward for the effort.
Have you blurred the background in this shot or is this the natural Bokeh of this lens? If so then definitely Its on my buy list.
Su
Love this shot and angle congrats.

Awesome….!!
The background makes it stand out tall, though you surely seem to have been lying down for this shot.

Great shot! No shorebirds here yet, but we’re anxiously awaiting spring migration. Keep up the good work–and have fun teaching your granddaughter about the joys of nature and the responsibilities of stewardship.

Excellent shot with a very nice background that is so soft that it makes the bird look even more delicate. Nice job. Congratulations.
