Hey I just rescued a caterpillar thinking it was on its way to becoming a beautiful huge Red Moth (because :( one has just died in my flat ) came in to check the POTD – and look what I found! What beauty, what happenstance, the natural balance of colour, the clarity of your focus – even the cobweb in the background – a reminder that life goes on, yes indeedy : ) Thank you.

This is proof positive that ‘less is more’! The natural muted colors are wonderful–no need for glitz. This is a wonderful potd, and especially meaningful for me today. Thanks for just the spot of beauty I needed!

Oh Wow! True, less is more until you look at the spectacular splendor of that butterfly. Nice capture!

Very nice low to high point of view. The back lighting is really working well over here.

great shot indeed especially the DOF. very green but at least the butterfly grabs all the attention. The web is a hidden detail, i like it.

The overall green tone makes the subtle blue in the wings stand out. So incredibly beautiful.

Great shot. Makes me want to tag along on my
husband’s next trip to Ecuador. South America
really does have amazing birds and butterflies.

Captures the frailty and delicate nature of the butterfly. Love those hues of green and the way the light seems to outline the wings. Congratulations!!
