Innocence – Children in Namhsan, Myanmar
by Kimberley Coole
Innocence is sure a rare thing in this world and I felt this child was possibly the most innocent thing I had ever seen! From the feedback I have received this image has not failed to make the viewer smile!
Equipment: Canon EOS 5d

I have been taking photographs for may years but have only recently had the courage to try and become a ‘professional’ – I would say I specialise in portraiture but love anything to do with travel

There’s nothing like a child’s smile or laughter. You have really captured the epitome of wide-eyed innocense. The dirty face and the dark background give this candid shot a special feeling that I like.

  2. Chamika Says:

A very captivative image. From the dark contrast in the background to the clear innocent eyes of the child, the whole picture simply grabs you emotionally.

  3. Stephen Oachs Says:

The light and drama in this image is very good — I love the glance away from the child in the distance and the deep feeling you get from the face of the subject. His eyes are full of his story.

Kids are the same wherever they are in the world; it’s only us adults that imagine there must be differences.

The facial expression, the light on the child’s face and that natural look makes this shot perfectly composed.

Innocence….you captured well here. The focus of the main subjects eyes is fantastic! The DOF you chose is perfect, with the background child’s smile drawing our eyes to him, but sharply returning to the foreground boy. Excellent job and congratulations.
