Fishermen at Sunset

It was such a magnificent sunset with great colors in the sky, reflections in the pools and a calm see. Must have been lucky to witness and shoot it. Slow shutter speed allowed me to flatten the sea.

Equipment: Canon 5D, 17-40 L

Wonderful symmetry and harmony between the sky and the fore ground. Leads the eye right to the fishermen and the pleasing vignette keeps the viewer glued thereon. You were not only “lucky to witness and shoot it” but also masterly in your craft…….and art. The opportunity presented itself and you grabbed it with grateful hands.

I know from experience that it is hard to get both water and sky values right at the same time. You have done an excellent job of recording both areas.

The sunset would have been good without the fisherman but they add interest and upgrade the composition.

This is really beautiful, but the cool blue tones made me shiver. Twilight is my favorite time of day, when the buzz of the workday gives way to the quiet hum of nature. This photo captures that feeling–thanks so much.
