Wow! I’d love to know how close you are. What is the focal length you are using. Are you atop another elephant (….as on a safari). The focus is so perfect that one can even see the dermal hair!!

Black and White is perfect for this shot. I like the detail shown. I don’t beleive I have ever seen an elephants toenail before – they are massive – interesting. Congratulations!

Funny, I’ve seen plenty of pictures of elephants, but I don’t think I have ever really given apt consideration to the foot — with elephant “toe-nails”! Thank you
