Very, very nice Ken. Such wonderful detail in an active scene. I really like the gray background, it works very well for the viewer to concentrate on the subject with no destractions. Congratulations on this fine POTD!

Great Blue Herons are a joy to behold. This is a wonderful shot with each and every feather in perfect focus. It’s amazing how this bird can look so stately and elegant in one pose and so totally gangly and inept in another. Great photo, great bird, great picture story. Thanks.

fantastic focus and clarity. Great catch!

Nice moment. very clear shot indeed. Maybe a longer shutter speed would have blurred the wings implying the bird is in mid flight. As it is there is no sensation of motion.

I love your picture of a bird hard at work. Birds always build perfect homes for their needs… On a personal note, I envy you: what an elightened line of work you have! Congratulations!

Oh, my! What a surprising photo!
Every detail of this unique bird is in sharp focus. From the position of its body and wings, the heron must have been gliding in for a landing. Thanks for putting a smile on my face!
