Wow! Thank you all for such warm comments. Any constructive suggestions are welcome. I want to take more photos in winter, but alas, I don't have a 4-wheel drive vehicle. So I end up packing up our Honda Civic with gear, and exploring California in spring and autumn.

I was sooooooooo glad for a colorful meadow potd! Those of us who live in snow country, though we agree that it can be beautiful, can have strong withdrawal symptoms from flowers and grass. One thing I like best about this site is that the photos are so varied. I also find that photos from around the world can look very much like home, making this truly a lovely planet to call home!

I still don't know why shot's from spring 2007 are relevant. Point taken about the hemispheres though. Sorry! In my defence I was responding to someone who was 'sick of boring winter shots'.

This is a very nice and bright, colorful spring scene, and it is warmly received and very welcome in my neck of the woods at this time.

The photo made me smile. A reminder of what's to come in the next season. Something to look foward to.
