wow this is such a great shot!

  2. Katherine Lee Strassburg Says:

Great bird, great timing, great big mouth! Raptors are wonderful–I like anyone who eats mice. This would be great for one of those “wildlife as Canon sees it” ads. Congrats.

  3. Chamika Says:

Good one! Everything from the nicely blurred background to the bird with its golden eye, to its unlucky prey, has added up to create this great shot. Good work!

  4. Stephen Oachs Says:

for Wito & the Eagle, not so great for the Victim!

  7. Ariel Ariel Says:

So that’s where mice came from! I always thought it was other mice who gave birth to mice. What was I thinking? How silly of me. =)

I bet I get slated for this comment but I would have cloned out the grass and straw in front of it. Wonderful shot though

I agree with Mark. It is a great picture, though! Like Katherine, I’m for anything that eats mice and rats; raptors, snakes, you name it. Thanks for capturing this moment.

OH this is so cool!!! This is my home page and opening up to this photo has made my day. I am a wildlife biologist with a specialty in working with raptors. Capturing this in the wild is a very unique experience. You must have a keen eye for the natural world.
