Lamb
by Matt Burrard-Lucas
This lamb just wouldn't stop following me around. Whenever I put my camera near the fence, it would run up to me and stick its nose in the lens! The lighting was achieved using a 580EX flash at close range, allowing the background and foreground to be exposed whilst shooting almost directly into the sun.
Equipment: Canon EOS 1D MKIII, 16-35mm lens

what a beautiful thing! The close up gives the lamb a goofy-ness. I don’t want to think where this little one will end up one day, but thanks for the little reminder of the exquisite-ness of nature in his gorgeously curious and open face.

Very nice capture. Very natural and vivid colors although it gives a sensation of retouching.

We have had sheep and currently have goats and this captures their personality. They are goofy, but goats are much smarter. We have one now that acts like a dog. Thanks for a charming composition with beautiful vivid colors!! Congratulations on your POTD!!

Excellent! Great perspective and rich blue sky. It makes me want two things.
1. makes me want to upgrade to the 1D
2. makes me want to never eat lamb chops again.
Kudos.

Sheep are very intelligent creatures; however I always feel sorry for the ones born in the winter.
