Adagio

by Karen Chappell

I went to the park on a warm autumn day to take photos and I took several of the leaves floating in the duck pond. It was so peaceful.

Absolutely magnificent! If not for the shadows, one might think the leaf was falling through the air. Great focus and color–I like it a lot.

I’ve seen a milllion shots like this and too often they are all the same but this one is different — something about the color and surface of the water that gives it a unique feel. Nicely done, it’s well deserving to win!

Gorgeous pic. There’s something special about this pic… the wavelets (teeny wave things) in the water and the colors in the image. So beautiful.

A rather ordinary subject but nicely treated.

Very nice artistic shot. Crystal clear and smooth at the same time. I like it. The blue is very nice indeed. I am sure the original shot looks even more great.

Really simple but all the better for it. really beautiful shot. I’d love that on my wall. Congratulations.

Simply lovely. Elegant and spare. I really like it.

Natural beauty. Nice shot. Contrast and focus everything perfect and finally water looks like water not like a frozen plastic. People have to stop using those filters on the moving water. IMHO it doesn’t make pictures look better but even more unrealistic.

I especially love how each part of the leaf is touching the water in different ways.
