Whale Shark

One those pics that sends you straight to wikipedia. An inspiring combination of light and colour and a kind of incandescence that gives the image depth and lights up the Shark’s beautiful Morse Code. Beautifully captured sleek grace. It is interesting to note that certain animals are referred to as being specifically male or female, even when the photographer makes no mention of the sex of that particular animal. For example, three posters above use “… he …”, “… him …” and “… his …” when typing about the shark in the picture. Does anyone know how to distinguish between male and female whale sharks from this angle?
