Under Piscia di Galu Waterfall
by Lukasz Warzecha
This waterfall is 60m high. It was a very dangerous adventure to capture this shot. With boulders around the bottom pool very slippery together with really strong spray from the waterfall it was impossible to avoid the plunge in the very cold water. I set the camera, gave instructions to my girlfriend (she was used as a cable release operator), I put her red trousers on (I thought that my grey trousers wouldn’t look good), scrambled down to the bottom of the waterfall and got my bum wet twice (on the way there and back)! But I think it was worth the effort!
Equipment: Canon 5D, 70-200 L IS 2.8 and Gorillapod

very good thnking to put on the red trousers. It really becomes the visual anchor in an otherwise mono chromatic shot.
The trident shape of the fall is very eye catching.
A very refreshing image on earthshots after a long time.
