  2. Katherine Lee Strassburg Says:

Nice photo, John. As a birder, I’d like more info on where and when taken, specific kind of robin, etc. As a photographer, I’d like to know how you managed such a nice pose!

  3. Anurag Anurag Says:

A very nice shot. Perfect focus. The color cast works in the image’s favour. I would love to know wehether its an artificial background or one with a heavy dose of gaussian blur.

  4. Courtney Platt Says:

Very nice shot indeed. All the subject is in perfect focus. The colors blend really well too even though I think they are a little saturated but they really make a good effect.

  8. mark Says:

A lovely shot, and a candidate for a greetings card company I would say.

Beautiful photo. Everything is perfect – the clarity, colours and pose. It almost feels as if I can put my hand to the screen and touch him. Lovely! – JR

  16. Marie Dunphy Harding Says:

Great work, the detail is flawless.

  17. Renee Renee Says:

I was asking the same question planet lover..the bird does not look real at all to me either, but who knows but John :)

  18. Sue Gagnon Says:

Lovely, detailed and honest shot. Beautiful.

  19. Katherine Lee Strassburg Says:

As I tell the kids at the local nature center about our Snowy Owl mount, yes, he’s a real bird, but he’s a really DEAD bird! One of my favorite postcards is a photo of a very dead, very old, very dilapidated stuffed meadowlark–bought it at a gas station in Iowa several years ago. Even I have taken better meadowlark photos!
Whether this bird is still singing…John may never tell.

  20. Just Jack Says:

Nice picture but instantly i thought this bird looks like it is stuffed. Especially with the blurred background and perfect lighting. Almost too good to be true, but if it is, then you have done a perfect job

  21. Ellie Ellie Says:

Perfect, just perfect, you should be very proud of yourself. Way to go.

  22. Age Age Says:

Where was this photo taken, it is so magnificent!

  23. Paradise Says:

    wonderful!!!

  24. Su Su Says:

this looks a natural shot, robins are very friendly birds and will soon take worms from your hand. Congrats

  25. Renee Renee Says:

    nice shot!
