The background effects of the fog make the trees further and further away seem unreal

the colors make the pic striking, almost magical, great shot

  3. James and Kelly Stone Says:

WOW! This is art! Beautiful capture. Looks like a painting with the popping colors of the tree and the foggy background. Great job and congratulations on your well deserved POTD!

  4. Pauline Jones Pauline Jones Says:

I like the background even more than I like the foreground.

  5. Paul Dass. Paul Dass. Says:

Stunning capture. There is a peace being felt at this picture. Your eyes are so well trained to see the beauty of the nature and the way you have framed it is very classic.

  6. Alex Says:

The foggy atmosphere is photogenic of course, but the picture itself is quite common.

  7. Su Says:

Beautiful autumnal photo, really like it, you may find it common Alex but I havent seen this shot before.

  8. Bev Says:

amazing contrast of colours..almost looks like 2 pictures…wonderful shot

  9. Derek Says:

lol….i just love some of the comments on this site…this sort of landscape may be commonplace but it is the abilty off the photographer and the way he/she captures it on film is what makes or breaks the shot. In this case I think the photographer has done a great job with the conrast between the autumn tree and the almost monochromatic background.

  10. Marie Dunphy Harding Says:

The ‘draped’ fog gives a wonderful effect behind the Autumn colors. Great color contrast.

  11. Phil Says:

I’ve envisioned a shot like this for years and never cold find it. NICE!

  12. Stee Stee Says:

This shot shows a common thing (the tree) in a not common way (great colors and contrast with the fog). Very nice shot :-)

  13. Anurag Anurag Says:

    Unusual colors and terrific atmosphere.

  14. Katherine Lee Strassburg Says:

I especially like this picture. This could have been taken here in Michigan a few weeks ago. The soft mystery of the deep woods–nothing like it! Thanks for such a wonderful photo.

  15. Sue Gagnon Says:

The diminutive admires the majestic. Subtle, palpable contrasts. :)

  16. joan Says:

Robert, this is simply beautiful, made even more stunning by the title.

  17. Malta Photography Malta Photography Says:

very good shot indeed I just wonder how good this was not to have any fog between you and nearest tree.

  18. Su Su Says:

Lovely shot, full of the stillness of autumn.

  19. Renee Renee Says:
