This is so full of energy–the fish, the fisherman and the sea, all fighting each other. I can’t imagine how cold the man must be and how strong. The intensity is enhanced by the depth of the black roiling sea and the slightly off-kilter horizon–it adds real movement. Thanks for such a strong image!

Very powerful image indeed. The cutting off of the cap and a part of the ring of the fishing net enhances the sense of hardship and unease.
Nice timing of the wave bouncing off the fisherman’s body.

This picture has action and atmosphere; it elicits an emotional response as you can feel the man’s discomfort; he must be freezing.

Nice action shot but pity that the cap and the ring have been cut and there is something behind the fisherman that distracts a little.

As a child of a seafood and fishing family, I love all fish pictures. This one shows the strength of the fisherman. Salmon!!!!!
