Peak of the Season
by Tien-Chien Chen
I wasn't sure what I would see at the end of this day - I have never been to this place, nor do I know the exact route and how long it'd take. A question mark was brewing in my head whether or not I should turn back and call it a day, or proceed on this gravel-road-turned-to-be-4WD-trail, which didn't seem to reach anywhere.
Just before the sun kissed the peak goodbye, the road did end somewhere, somewhere I will not soon forget.

What a wonderful memory for you and photo for us. It’s a perfect picture. My first real memory of mountains is of the Colorado Rockies from the back seat of a 1950 or ’52 Chevy in summer of 1953, and it was love at first sight. I never tire of seeing any mountain at any time of year, but this picture could have been taken today. Thanks for taking me with you on this special day! This is definitely one of my favorite POTD’s……………..

Lovely is the word to use. Quite an imaginative for an amature photographer. Why don’t you call yourself as an enthusiast “nonprofessional”.
Great colors and cirss crossing lines.

It looks as if another sun is kissing the tree tops; spectacular.

Nice shot but color saturation too high and end result a little too unrealistic.
Patti-Ann
I agree with Alex. Too unrealistic, but take the same photo, lighten it slightly and lessen the saturation, and it’ll be incredible – the depth of field and perspective are great!

Positively beautiful!!! I have seen color this saturated in nature many, many times! This is a very nice shot!

Looks natural to me, October light is a photographers friend, especially during the magical hours. Beautiful composition, color, and DOF…sharp.
One for the wall to be sure!
Miriam
Amazing colors! What a wonderful photo.

I like the mountains, a bit too much orange foreground for me, but very nice.

Breathtaking! I can only imagine how it must have felt to experience it live. Moments such as this always remind me that people are but one thread in the fabric of life. Thank you.
