Gold Rush

by Bhaskar Dutta

This photo was captured at sunset on board a flight somewhere over western India. The reflection of golden rays of sun from behind the clouds to the river below created a visual drama.

Absolutely amazing! From the ground, you probably could have taken a lovely sunset/cloud/water reflection photo. By having a totally new perspective, you have taken us into an entirely new world. I love it! Thanks for sharing such a remarkable moment.

UNBELIEVABLE.

This has got be one of my favorites of all. I love the reflection on the water. The rays from the sun and speckles of light that make the backdrop glitter. The whole image is alive. It takes me forward.

BEAUTIFUL

This has to be one of the best shots I have seen on this site in a long while. The fact that it was taken with a humble Canon S3 IS Powershot makes it even more exciting. It goes to prove how good digital cameras have become and why we don’t always need a hefty DSLR to get the shot.

Totally agree with Keith. Great pictures don’t depend on expensive equipment but on the eye and creativity of the photographer! This is a truly unique and fantastic capture. I would like to call it: Path to One.

It is amazing how many Earth Shots showcase the interface of land and water, however you have given us a view like few others.
