Storm in the Valley

After a long day of rain throughout the valley, the storm finally broke at sunset. I had noticed this somewhat fresh ‘perspective’ a day or so earlier but the mood wasn’t there. With swirling clouds and sunset color coming through, I thought it might be time to re-shoot that composition. I think I was right. I hope you enjoy it.

Equipment: Canon 5D, Canon 17-40 L, 2-stop Hard Grad. ND, Circ. Polarizer

Very contrasting image and nice colors. I like the pebbles and the way the trees are passing through from one side to another.

Yin and poster boy……….this is Yosemite Valley in California, one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL places on earth. Read John Muir’s works for details–he was instrumental in saving it for all posterity. Thanks, Scott, for a breath of fresh air!
