Smoke of Wonder

by Aruna Kalutanthri

An early morning stroll on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls rendered this fascinating view of the falls framed by the tree. My heart pounced, I aimed, bracketed and shot. I used the RAW files to create the HDR effect.

A really wonderful composition, utilizing every bit of the frame! Pretty cool effect of the mist rising as well, which I can’t remember seeing before.

With all the “earthshots” from around the world, this is probably the first photo of a place I have actually seen in person. I took plenty of photos that day, so I appreciate the clarity and uniqueness of this one!

Very interesting shot and framing. I like the three and the way the image has been centered.

Nice, but the colors look too artificial to me.

I am everything but technically educated in this form of art but it is so beautiful that that lack of education does’nt seem to affect my eye for it. Photography is such a great replacement for hunting.Magnificent Aruna! You got what it takes to be.

yes indeed very beautiful! Excellent photo

This was one of my first tries at HDRI. True, HDR sometimes gives an artifical look, but, again it is art and something different we after, aren’t we? I used Dynamic Photo HDR to create the above image. Thanks.

♫ Take my breath away….♫
I don’t have adequate words to express how this image makes me feel… It’s so peaceful, yet I can hear the falls rushing… Amazing Vista!
(I too, use Dynamic Photo to composite. It brings out the hidden dynamics of a late afternoon scene that would not otherwise have been seen by the [digital]cameras eye.)
This is exquisite!
