Jungle Temple
by David Lazar
Ta Prohm (jungle temple) is one of a few ruins where nature has been left free to comsume the temples at it likes. There are better temples at Angkor in terms of size and privacy to explore - but Ta Prohm has such a monstorous tree growing over the temple, you simply can't look past it.
Equipment: Nikon D70s

I'm a photographer from Brisbane, Australia - and one of the joys for me (outside my musical profession) is travelling and capturing moments of life and beauty through photography.
My favourite styles of photography: Portraiture and landscape. Also, in general, I prefer shots which contain an element of 'cannot be captured exactly again'; that is expressive people shots, action shots and any scenario with a unique aspect to it.

What a great shot, it gives such an impression of monstrosity. Centered and the lighting just falls on the right parts, i bet it was not easy to get the right lighting.

Awesome & awe-inspiring. great shot.

Lovely shot David. Although I don’t remember the temple walls being as green as they are depicted here, had it been raining a lot or did you tweak the colours? Either way it’s a great result.

We have seen this one before but that doesn’t take away from the shot; interesting but weird.

You can say too much trough photography. All your photos have their own story. And I’m fascinated by that most of your photos is captured by D70s

great shot, i love how you cut the top part of the tree, giving focus on how the tree took the supremacy on the ruins.
i like also the two legs and feet you can see on the right and on left… like nature want copy the phisionomy of humans, that it submitted.

Looks like this tree is growing down rather than up… Groovy shot! That’s something to see!
