Sea Lions
by Pam Wood
What a remarkable scene that I beheld. Just happened to be on the wharf that day and heard the sea lions barking. I looked over the side of the rail and saw to my delight a sight I have never seen before. A Sea Lion party!
Equipment: Canon 5D

That little notch above, where you can see the water and part of the deck really adds tha t crucial element of interest to the shot.

Nice! It seems to me this picture has something double: it also looks a bit like a sea-lion massacre, but it isn’t…

At first glance, the photo is almost disgusting, but when you see the look of total peace and rapture on their faces you begin to see the beauty of the animals. The colors are magnificent! There’s nothing quite like the sound (and smell) of sea lions at the beach! Wonderful and thought-provoking picture–thanks.

Makes me think of human demographics and all that is hanging over us if we dont begin to adress it NOW instead of when a major crisis prevent our specie to do it a smooth and evolutive fashion.

If you whacked up the contrast and put it into monochrome you should get an interesting effect.
