The creator of this surreal scene were not only the weather conditions but you Gerry. Great work. The combination of black and yellow is a very powerful one and here you have used it to great effect.
Your website is testimony to the fact that how prolific and talented you are. Great work.

Excellent choice for photo of the day.

Speechless. Show this image to those graphic wizards who do computer generated images on all the latest adventure/sci-fi movies! They will drool!!!!
Makes me think of the planet Mercury at night or at sunset. My imagination has me there already–no movies for me on this one!
Congrats Gerry.

what makes this truly a great composition is that the mounds of rock in the background break up the horizon into 3 uneven parts that gives it a nice change as you view the photo the only concideration i would make is that the front rock, the mass of that rock is same size if not bigger then the mounds in the back which gives a competing hierarchy desturbance between the two

How unusual! It has a very moody feel to it.
The contrasts in color, shape, and texture are amazing.
You have creatively captured the Work of the Almighty Creator. Thanks!

I’m really impressed with the drama of the sky and the use of black and white (as it appears).
